Can both spouses have access to a vault box?
The short answer
A vault box can be rented by one person, by two people jointly, or in the name of a trust or company, and the rental agreement decides who may enter. Choosing that structure before it matters is the useful part.
The longer answer
Joint rental means either person can enter alone, which suits some couples and is exactly wrong for others. A trust rental keeps continuity if something happens to one person, and is not frozen the way a personal bank box often is on notice of death.
